| The Environmental Community Health Organization (ECHO) recently launched its Health Schools Competition in 14 schools across West Coast Demerara, Region Three,NFL Jerseys Wholesale, to increase involvement among students in creating a green environment.Some of the primary schools participating in the competition include St Lawrence,Jerseys NFL Cheap, Blake, Parika Salem, Parika Backdam, Ruby Backdam and Greenwich Park.According to Royston King,China Jerseys, Executive Director, not all the schools participating in the competition have ECHO clubs, but the aim is to enhance existing clubs and establish new ones. He pointed out that at the end of the competition, during the award ceremony, the new ECHO clubs will be launched.King noted that the competition involves students engaging in activities to keep their environment clean. This, he stressed, will inculcate the social and public health responsibilities of keeping one’s environment litter-free at an early age.Another component of the programme entails fire safety awareness. It was revealed that students and their teachers will be expected to have fire safety and prevention measures in place.King asserted that from today, judges, including environmental officers and representatives from the Guyana Fire Service, will be visiting the various schools to carry out inspections.
