| Family members of one-year-old Crystal Blackett are at a loss for words after the toddler ingested kerosene at her home yesterday afternoon and died after being admitted to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC).According to the baby’s maternal aunt, who identified herself as ‘Gail’, Crystal’s mother resides at Belmont, Mahaica,Cheap NFL Jerseys Wholesale, East Coast Demerara, and she (the aunt) did not know the details of the incident, however, Crystal’s mother was at home at the time of the incident with another sister.It was until mid-afternoon when she received a telephone call from her sister, notifying her about the unfortunate incident, and asking her to come to the GPHC to join other members of the family.Crystal’s grandmother told Kaieteur News last evening that the toddler’s mother could not “come to the phone because she is in a daze,” due to the effect of the tragic event.This newspaper was told that a bottle was lying on the floor with a small amount of kerosene and somehow Crystal managed to come into contact with the container. She subsequently drank the contents and as soon as the mother realized this, the child was rushed to the Mahaicony Hospital.Shortly after, the Mahaicony Hospital referred the baby to the GPHC where she died moments after arrival.
