Temporary shelters are available to accommodate any disaster victim who wishes to be housed until their circumstances are less stressful.According to Lynette Carter, the administrative officer of the Relief Council, “We receive small Government subventions, and donations from businesses and donor foundations, which we give to flood, fire and victims of any kind of disaster whether it is natural or manmade. “However, we are making an urgent appeal to individuals and members of the corporate community to donate towards this humanitarian work.” |
