Nanda KissoonSome of the students had informed this newspaper that they were prepared to secure an injunction against the woman, who was released from custody on Thursday and had informed them that she would not be able to refund them until Monday.However, that disclosure had only served to raise the students’ suspicion. They speculated that the woman would flee the country without fulfilling her promise. As such,Cheap Air Force 1, the students had anticipated that, with an injunction, they would prevent the woman from leaving the country before paying them.And it was while in discussion with an attorney yesterday that one of the students received a telephone call from Kissoon, who related that she was ready to pay them their money.Kissoon, the student said, instructed that they (students) travel to her parents’ Duncan Street home,Cheap Nike Free Run Shoes, where they would be paid accordingly.Six of the students ventured to the residence and were paid in excess of $200,000 without incident, before alerting their other colleagues that the woman had made good on her promise. This school was located at 5 Cummings Street,Cheap Nike Huarache Shoes, Georgetown.The minister reported that the woman had deceptively accepted thousands of dollars from students, assuring them that they could be recruited as health care workers to work in the United States.She had also informed them that, with her certificate, they could enrol at any of the three Health Ministry’s nursing schools, or even opt to attend the University of Guyana.However, the woman is still insisting that her nursing school was a bona fide and legitimate entity, and that she is a credible person of the society.This newspaper was informed that the woman plans to clear the air as it relates to her nursing school, and has even urged the students she has refunded to return when she resumes her operation.In the meantime, the students have related that they are to meet with Health Minister Dr Leslie Ramsammy today to discuss the possibility of them joining classes offered by the Health Ministry.According to Minister Ramsammy, his ministry offers classes free of cost once persons satisfy the necessary requirements for admission. |
