Grant expressed his heartfelt appreciation and profound gratitude to Mr. Yassin for his kind donation.“It is very timely and I think his investment in the items donated is not an investment in YCT but an investment in young people and a group that has been doing a lot of outstanding work in communities for young people,” Grant stated.Recently the group started a literacy programme in the community. This programme is aimed at helping to enhance literacy in Guyana.  Grant said that the organization has recognized a tremendous need to give back to the community.He said that the entity wanted to give something that would forever change a child’s life. “We did not want to give a meagre gift. We wanted something that would in all be beneficial to them in time to come,” Grant stressed.He explained that the initiative targets children primarily between the ages of eight and 11 years.Grant said that YCT’s ambitions are to extend the programme to other communities where equal demand exists for the improvement of literacy and numeracy.
