Take this with a grain Oakley Goggles New Zealand of salt because I am usually feeling no pain when I am talking with cab drivers, but cab companies are heavily regulated by the city province.
Also as a side note the company i ride with apparently never sits in this parking lot 9plus they drive Lincolns.

Also about 90% of cabbies work off commission. 50% of whatever the vehicle makes in that 12 hr shift. And then most of them have to pay for gas aswell with their 50% of the fares. With 17 million cabs in Brandon, well that may be an overestimate, a driver has to try to find as many trips as he can so he or she can go home with more then 12 dollars for a 12 hr shift. I have driven cab and there are times where I would go home with about as much money as I would have found in the couch if I would have stayed there. A cab driver is a chauffeur not a servant. If a DRIVER helps with your groceries, they are going above and beyond. "
As an Ex Cab driver I can for sure say at least at the company I was at it was REQUIRED TO HELP WITH LOADING/UNLOADING GROCERIES, WALKERS, Buy Longchamp Le Pliage WHEELCHAIRS, etc.
If you were using us to literally move to a new house then no we weren't required to help then and the load time is charged in that case but small stuff was a job requirement and if you refused your shift or even week could be cut short and you make even less money.
However, that being said, even though superstore is geographically the perfect place to sit to cover most of brandon the quickest, its not the only place and the owners of these company vehicles (The Ray Ban Clubmaster owner ops usually pick up on this) need to direct more cabs to sit in Sobeys parking lots, more so at the major hotels even during the day, the mall entrances (all 8 of them available to the public), The many places in the corral centre, the town centre, even sitting at 7/11 you can draw "Flags" and Ray Ban Aviator Sizes don't have to wait for your radio to give you a trip. If only they would spread out. If they treat their co workers and competition so rotten I'd hate to see how my experience would be. I always call a cab from a different company, and wait outside 5 10 minutes for a car(no problem with that). The funny thing is not one of these waiting Pandora Earrings Nz drivers asks if I need a cab. Go Figure! Jul 2009Total posts:612WowOk my wife works at the store in question and too many times as I Nike Cortez Auckland wait to pick her up I have seen these cabbies fighting for a spot to park, yes I have seen 2 cabbies try and back into the same spot at the same time almost hitting each other on purpose to try and keep the other out. I have also seen them almost back into customers parked cars, and I even found out that 2 cabbies were blocking traffic in one of the lanes and someone trying to back out honked at one of them and they got out and started yelling at the guy trying to back out almost to the point that the cab driver was ready to start a physical fight with the guy because he wanted to leave. I am not saying ALL the cab drivers are a problem, I know some and they are great people, but some of them need to take a step back and smarten up. Also I would like to add that some of these company's use cars that look like total crap, there are some that have been in major accidents and the bumpers are destroyed yet they continue to use them. I think the Brandon Police Service should be citing these companies with fines for using possibly UNSAFE damaged vehicles to transport people around.
