Lincoln assassination makes for a mediocre film
There are certain people who are always interested in a film by an Academy Award winning director. I am one of those people. This is why my interest in Robert Redford's latest film, The Conspirator, was so high as the Christian Louboutin Store Sydney former Christian Louboutin Shoes Sale Hollywood heartthrob has directed some of the most interesting films in the past three decades.
The Conspirator keeps in tune with the captivating material that Redford is known to bring to American cinema although it would be unjust to compare it to his better known work. Ultimately, the most intriguing aspect of The Conspirator is the material it presents with the filmmaking itself failing to live up to its potential.
The Conspirator is the story around the trial around Mary Surratt, the lone women changed in the conspiracy involving the assassination of Supra Shoes Australia Abraham Lincoln. Surratt is played by Robin Wright, who gives an outstanding performance as the accused conspirator, bringing just enough warmth to the role without overdoing it.
Suratt, who's seemingly only guilt is that she ran the boarding house in which John WIlks Booth frequented, is obviously chosen by the powers that be, mainly Secretary of War Edwin M. Stanton played by Kevin Kline, as a scapegoat for the murder of the popular president.
Enter defence attorney Frederick Aiken, played by James McAvoy, a former Union soldier torn between his reluctance to defend the accused conspirator of his beloved president and his duty to uphold the constitution as Hollister Melbourne Store an attorney.
The story deals with both Aiken and Surratt's personal struggles throughout the trail as a nation years for vengeance at any cost.

Where the film fails is in its emotion.
