The local "newgrass" band Errant Planet, the Arkansas Times Musician Showcase winner inside 2002, has been working hard earlier times couple years, appearing for AETN and booking dates during the entire state as part of the Arkansas Disciplines on Tour Council's list of musicians and singers. Having produced a three song sampler, Runaway Planet now has accomplished its first full length CD, and the release party is about for Saturday, Oct. Twenty-three, at Juanita's.
The four guys inside Runaway Planet have been crafting and laying down tracks, after a few bouts of misfortune (their last effort has been accidentally lost by a regional studio), they hired regional producer Barry Poynter at Supra Australia Poynter Galleries for assistance. The fruit in their labor, "No Part of Nothin'," is now available. The album features original material, with the exception of a pair of Vibram Five Fingers Online short takes from the classic "St. James Infirmary Blues."
Cd albums will be on sale at the show, as well as at local track record shops Been Around Records, Anthro Soda Mbt Boots Clearance and Arkansas Record Compact disc Exchange.

DEP has been available since 1997 and has hung throughout despite many changes in it's lineup. Fans hail the musicians as some sort of metallic demigods, calling their music complex and angry, sadistic masterpieces. The listeners who aren't so keen on DEP refer to its stuff as simply incoherent and annoying merde.
But DEP has toured with great metal acts which include Pantera and Static X, among other things; so, to say that Dillinger Get away from Plan has earned the chops among fans could well be fair. "Miss Machine" was the group's Masai Barefoot Technology Mbt Shoes recently released CD.
