A fleet of planes departed Ogle Airport yesterday for the Cheddi Jagan International Airport to await the body of the late Veteran Pilot, Captain Alvin Winston Clarke.Clarke’s body being taken onboard the SkyTruck yesterday afternoon.In what was referred to as a hero’s welcome, scores of colleagues, family members and friends formed a passage of honour as the body was taken off the Fly Jamaica flight and transferred on to the BK SkyTruck.To show respect to their fallen comrade,China Jerseys Cheap, planes attached to several airlines parked in a straight formation on Runway Bravo as the body was passed through the passage. After takeoff, the planes arranged themselves into an “arrow” formation in the sky.Upon arrival at Ogle, another honour passage was formed following a moment of silence before family members took possession of the body.Although the date of the funeral has not been announced, Roraima Airways announced that there will be a flyover of his body by a fleet of aircraft, as a show of respect moments before his burial.Clarke lost his battle to cancer on November 1 while undergoing medical evaluation in Canada. He served as an officer and pilot in the Guyana Defence Force and gained “Veteran Medivac Pilot” status over the years belting more than 13,000 hours of flight time.
