Just this prior summer, Governor LePage was widely criticized for comparing the Internal Revenue Service to the Gestapo. And while the phrase of private citizens do not have the same power and connotation that the words of our chosen officials do, we as being a people should not hesitate to condemn speech that is harmful and also hateful.
The Gestapo was no ordinary police officers.
