He hasn't made his challenge any less complicated by picking some tough routes.
"There is a bit of a mixture,Inches he said. "Bristol is fairly hilly; you ascend from the city centre to the suspension bridge. In Inverness I am following the Lochness marathon route that is fairly hilly, and Portsmouth is offroad.
"We don't want to make it too easy.
"Everybody has been really supportive. We have been a really tight family, We have got my dad as my personal support crew, my mother writes to all the sponsors, and my sister is really a physiotherapist who deals with my aches and pains.
