Disney went into this picture with a lot at stake in trying to revive a sinking franchise that never should have seen a third go round. Does it accomplish that? I think so. Will fans like it? Johnny Depp nimbly prances back on deck as Captain Jack Sparrow, with some old seadogs and new scallywags manning the rigging. After all, it not meant to make you think. It meant to entertain you for a couple of hours.
