At Career Success, my lady, Andy Robinson is the major presentation guy. I am normally behind the scenes putting together the materials and helping make sure things run smoothly. 3. I ran the outline by Andy and he thought it sounded good so I started on the 35mm slides. 7. I videotaped myself (ugh) and watched the whole thing which has a critical eye. I realized I want to to smile more, move about more and use my hands a bit more. I did not say Um words and that is great. The particular videotaping is a wonderful confidence booster-style.
8. I visited the location and checked out the room as well as surroundings and met using the coordinator 3 days in advance.

10. I got towards presentation early to check the lay of the land and make sure my personal slides worked. When I got there the projector was set up through the wrong side. 11. Having looked at all the technical stuff, I was ready and relaxed. I'm able to meet with the incoming family and friends and engage with them prior to the speech. That felt good given it was as if I believed them already. I also planted a couple of good friends in the audience for support.
