| Two prison wardens were brought before the court yesterday after they were allegedly caught trying to smuggling contraband items into the Georgetown Prison.Fedroy Nicholson, 27, and Claude Osborne, 46, were arraigned before Magistrate Judy Latchman at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts.Nicholson denied the allegation which stated that on April 28,Authentic NFL Jerseys Wholesale China, last, at the Camp Street Prison; he conveyed two packets of cigarettes into the prison.Osborne is accused of having 110 grams of cannabis in his possession for the purpose of trafficking on the day in question at the Camp Street Prison. He was also charged for conveying one packet of cigarettes into the prison.The duo’s attorney asked that the men be released on reasonable bail because a search was conducted on their person, but nothing was found.However, Police Prosecutor, Kerry Bostwick contradicted the defence submission. He argued that the prohibited items were found in Osborne’s left shoes and pants pocket.Nicholson was released on $70,000 bail while, Osborne was remanded to prison.They will return to court on May 18.According to reports the men were found with the prohibited items after random searches were carried out on them by their superiors. At the time of the discovery the men were reporting for duty. |
