| Two men who were nabbed in a car with a quantity of drugs in their possession have been remanded to jail.The men Jaiprakash Raghbeer, called “Lipstick Batty”,Wholesale China Jerseys, 39,Dwight Howard Hawks Jersey, a labourer of 32 Reliance Abandon,David Njoku Jersey, East Canje Berbice; and Nowrang Rameshant,Wholesale Authentic Jerseys, called “Black Boy”, 31,NBA Store, a labourer of Betsy Ground,Adrian Wilson Cardinals Jersey, East Canje Berbice were on Friday remanded to jail by Magistrate Mauricia Mittelholzer when they appeared before her at the Albion Magistrate’s court and pleaded not guilty to the charge of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.The men were nabbed in a car by police in front of the Reliance Police Station. They reportedly had 613 grams of compressed marijuana.According to information the two men who are well known to the authorities were travelling in motor car PHH 5668 around 11:00 hrs on Thursday when they were intercepted by police who had set up a road block in front of the Reliance Police Station.Raghbeer was the driver of the car while Rameshant was in the front passenger seat. The drugs were found in a black plastic bag which the men had in the front seat of the vehicle.They were arrested and the vehicle impounded. The drugs were tested and weighed and found to be 613 grams of compressed marijuana.They will have to return to court on April 20, at the Reliance Magistrate’s Court. |
