| A Corentyne rice mill labourer is dead after he was struck down by a speeding car early yesterday morning at No. 53 Village Public Road,Diego Maradona Jersey, Corentyne.Dead is Premdass Boodhoo (Gomes), 39, of No. 52 Village, Corentyne.According to information at around 08:45 hrs, the father of four was cycling to work at the rice mill at Number 54 village when he allegedly attempted to ride across the road and was hit by the car.He was picked up and rushed to the Skeldon Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.The driver of the motor car was arrested and taken into custody.
