| A 60-year-old Stanleytown, New Amsterdam resident was yesterday sentenced to six months in jail by Magistrate Omeyana Hamilton, at the New Amsterdam Magistrate’s court, after he was found guilty on the charge of indecently assaulting his five-year-old granddaughter. The incident occurred on Saturday September 8, 2007.Prosecutor Roberto Figueira led evidence to show that the accused lived with his daughter and granddaughter at their Stanleytown home.It was revealed that on the day in question, both the young victim and the accused were at home in the upper flat.
