| Two 17-year-olds have been charged for the murder of taxi driver Raphael Campbell, whose body was found at Liliendaal, East Coast Demerara last week Friday.Michael BishopSean Collins, of Ketley and Drysdale Streets, Charlestown, and Michael Bishop, of Lot 21 Hill Street, Albousytown, were remanded yesterday when they appeared in the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court. They are to return to court on January 14.Three other teens who were arrested with Bishop and Campbell have been released,Police allege that the two accused murdered 30-year-old Campbell,Nike Air Max 1 Mens Shoe, of Beterverwagting, East Coast Demerara, between January 2 and January3. Campbell was shot in the head and his body dumped at Lilendaal. His body was positively identified last Monday.It is alleged that Bishop and Collins, along with another individual, who is still at large, stopped Campbell on Thursday, January 2, in Camp Street. Campbell reportedly took the passengers to the East Coast of Demerara, where he was slain.According to police, on Friday, January 3, Bishop, Collins and four other youths were stopped at a roadblock on the Soeydyke/Linden highway while they were in a black Toyota Premio that was stolen from the murdered driver.Bishop, Collins and three others were apprehended, while a sixth individual, who was allegedly driving the stolen car, escaped.Sean Collins |
