After quite some time surviving in , I've
encountered random tendencies toward my general appearance. Normally, I
ignore it. I have my own life to call home. Some would call everyone
androgynous. Some would mistakenly assume I'm an effeminate boy.
Typically, visiting a restroom is hard for me. If I wish ease, I'll slip quietly on the gentleman's area. Almost every time, without fail, should there be women, I will be told, "This is the ladies room, young man, be sure to leave," and that's if it is nice. Why my concern? I'm a little exhausted coming from having to defend myself from the women's restroom with, "I'm some sort of biological woman." There are incidents where security has been called, and I have to produce detection to prove my claim. In the men's room, I have to ensure nobody's there, obviously.
I do not need the added hassle of what is known as "cruising." I'm not a student. I'm a resident of . I do think residents (locals, townies, etc.) as well as students deserve the same requests granted. What's very funny for me is, when I do visit men's rooms in most establishments, the difference between the gents room and women's bedroom is very small. (Some men's room don't even have urinals), plus it baffles me that they won't be able to just put "unisex" or "family" (the ones with a baby changing family table). Wal Mart, DaVita Dialysis Unit, Lowe's, and I think one or two Ou peut-rrrtre buildings have unisex/family. I send my deepest thanks to people. While I do have other issues in mind, this one seems to be in need of dealing with now that students are back.
