He also noted that after his client was arrested she was kept well over the stipulated holding time of 72 hours.In those circumstances the lawyer asked that bail be set at a reasonable sum.However, Police Prosecutor Shellon Daniels objected to bail. The prosecutor noted that Singh gave the taxi driver the sealed package.Daniels further stated that Singh also gave the taxi driver $6000 to deliver the package. She said that the package remained sealed until the defendant was summoned.Bail was refused and the accused is expected to make her next appearance on Friday at the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court. |
