| The man who shot his ex-lover and her male friend at Half Mile, Wismar, Linden, on Sunday morning, is still on the run.According to reports, 40-year-old, Sherwin Hughes,Air Max 95 Black Leather, of 138 Blue Berry Hill, and 41-year old Simone Belle, of 102 Half Mile, were both shot by a marauding gunman who was suspected to have shared a previous relationship with Belle.The duo was rushed to the Linden Hospital Complex for urgent medical attention. They were later transferred to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC), for further treatment. They were listed in a stable condition yesterday afternoon.Reports have also stated that prior to the shooting; the individual was seen lurking at Belle’s place of residence earlier in the night. The police in a statement said that their investigations so far have revealed that Belle had just arrived home in a vehicle driven by Hughes, when shots were discharged at them.Asking for an update on the investigation yesterday, Divisional Commander, Calvin Brutus, stated that the investigations are still on-going. Various searches, he said, were conducted based on leads received however; the suspect is yet to be apprehended. |
